Cruise control with a manual transmission

Is it just me or does this not feel dangerous? Heaven help if you downshift while you have the clutch in.
Is there a coding option (or iDrive) to deactivate the cruise upon clutch depression?
I'm talking about driving with the cruise control and using the clutch to slow down a bit for traffic. When you let the clutch back out the car is very motivated, shockingly so, to return to your cruise speed. Just feels strange for the car to apply so much throttle, especially if you haven't glanced down to notice the green cruise indicator.

the cruise control should disengage when you push the clutch in. perhaps you aren't pressing it far enough for it to detect that. is it revving up when you push the clutch in or is it dropping to idle?
regardless, you should be using the brake pedal or the cruise switch to disengage the cruise control.

I usually use the cruise lever but this has happened a few times. I'll get used to it, I've just never noticed it on other vehicles.

My Ride: 2004 545i, 6-speed Manual, Silver Grey Metallic, Grey Dakota Leather, Cold Weather Pkg, Premium Sound Pkg, Sport Pkg, Lumbar Support
Just checked, and my cruise control disengages upon touching the clutch pedal, same as the brake pedal. Depressing the pedal is not necessary, just a touch.

I just went and took a drive and my 09 528i definitely does not disengage the cruise even with full depression of the clutch and removing the car from gear. Green light is still on and if you put it back into (any) gear and release the clutch it will try like hell to get back to the original speed. I didn't just verify that part, and likely won't again.
