Just checking to see if BMW NA is monitoring the biggest complaint ever to hit any auto forum

If you're listening - don't worry we still love our e60's

But many years does it take bmw to invent new door seals??

Overall on build quality I would take a BMW over a Merc every time. Mercedes are not what the used to be. My wife used to own a c class and sure the doors didnt squeek but every time I drove it I wondered what possessed us to buy it. Rattles all over the place, cheap interior, the worst engine noise imaginable, paint that started to discolour, upholstery stitching that started to come apart, dashboard lights that went in to "disco mode" every so often, crap handling, wiper motor conked out, rear electric windows stopped working, the glass in the drivers side wing mirror popped out somewhere on the motorway. I could go on.......

My wife then went and replaced it with an A class - if you want to ride in a really appalling car just drop me a message and I can arrange a demo.............

Damned good question!

The problem has been there at least since the E46 came out on the market in 1998.

My new E60 is still quite, but for how long???

A couple of car washes (not just wax) when the seals get wet they and then dry - they are susceptible.

When can we get an E60 Forum member that is an attorney when we need one!!

I'm sure that this is an easy win for a class settlement lawsuit! (BMW NA) - are you monitoring now?

Its a no brainer - maybe our e60 forum member could even make money off it and help all of us to get new seals!!!!

I'll start a help waned thread
