Anyone have this issue, when bringing the clutch back in, or pushing it down? If so what did you do to resolve it?

Thanks in advance

I'm having that problem right now. Had the dealer re-lube the linkages but the sound is still there. Kinda resembles the sound of rubber. Not so prevalent/audible when it's cold outside (below 60 degrees), but is real loud/prominent when it's more than 70 degrees outside (and therefore way hotter inside the car). Gonna take it to the dealer again next week to have them recheck it.

I had the same issue. Mine creaks only when I push it all the way down. Nothing the dealer could do to solve it. All i did to remedy the situation is to only use 1/3 of clutch pedal travel and creaking stops.

My clutch made a squeaking sound when pushing in and letting out the clutch pedal. Very annoying. Since I could reproduce it, I showed it to my SA. They actually replaced the clutch! But the sound came back about a week after I got my car back. I took it in and showed the SA. The second time, they did fix it. They said they had to take apart the dash to replace some linkage or bushing (?). Anyways, it was all covered under warranty (this happened about 5 month after I purchased the car) but it took them about 2 weeks total to fix it properly. But that noise was most annoying and I am glad it is gone.

The following post from last year also supports the fact that the squeak may be fixed under the dash...

Also, mrbelk had a squeaky clutch pedal back in 2004 but I don't know what the outcome of the service was...

I have a great fix for this problem. Put 1 gallon of petrol over the car and set it on fire. My e60 was at the dealer 5 times for this problem. Tried the old lube first, ok for about 2 weeks. Then tried a new clutch pedal and full assembly. Then more lube. Then new master cylinder. Eventually got it back and the pedal feels like crap. But the squeak did go away for a couple of months and it still gives a little squeak now and then.

I think it is something to do with the clutch and too much pressure on the pedal. Car is out of warranty the middle of july. So i have a rather large list for them.
Still have the stiff steering and also suspect the rear diff is needing changed as it is very noisy. And will also be trying to get a new clutch.

Good luck... I am covered till 2011 with full support/maintenance but I want it fixed now.
