Yes this sounds crazy but hear me out. I just got a CPO 2006 530i sport/nav a little over a week ago. I was wondering if the non-sport package car is a lot smoother in terms of ride. Would I be crazy to trade my car in for a CPO 550i without sports (about the same miles)? Would I be ripped off by doing this (probably!)?

Anyways just a thought, or maybe I should just get non-run flat tires

Well trading it in for a 550, not crazy. But if you were to trade a 530 for a 530 non sport, crazy.

Trade it in for the 550.

Trade in for a 550 with sport The 550 is heavier so you would probably apreciate the ARS in it.

From what I've heard though change the runflats before doing anything else!

If it's a good dealer they might let you trade with minimal rip off factor!

Yes, I figured if I trade in for a non-sport 530i , they better pay me some money But non sport package cars come with non run flat tires right?

Get the 550. You can always mod the wheels and suspension and put on the M-Tech bodykit for most of the Sports Package experience.

"most of the sports package experience"? yea, other than the active roll bars and the active steering, which make a huge difference. WTF? you can't put either of those on no matter what aftermarket mods you make.

I'd keep the one you've got. You're going to get prison raped on a trade, and in candor if you wanted a 550 to begin with you would already own it. There's a reason you went with the 530. Trust your gut on that.
