It seems that everyone is thinking that I'm crazy... Let me assure you that I am not and there is indeed a difference between the two. Trust me. I have actually driven both cars and have tried the cup holders myself. My SA agreed that they redesigned the darn things because the old model SUCKS!!! I just really need to know if they are interchangeable before I go out and spend BMW kind of money only to find out that the new one won't fit. I may have to go talk to the SA to see if he would be willing to experiment on my car to see if this will work. I will be a nice guy and will let you all know if it does fit and how much it costs to purchase the parts.

Rule #1 in my car NO FOOD or Drinks ( other than water ), never used the cup holders once , and they do look crappy BTW

To enforce the rules (as per above), my rule is, anyone with drinks in my car sit in the back seats and use the drinks holder in the back-seat centre console (they are more robust
