Couple of Runs with the G-Meter * Updated *
Didn't read the whole thread, but did you guys really not line up and do any head to head runs? G-meter times are all well and good, but lining up with someone is where all the fun is, win or lose. 0-60 times are good to know, but I'd be more interested in comparing trap speeds of the cars in question.
Sorry I couldn't make it. Maybe next time. If you guys are going on the Julian drive, we should definately do some runs then.

BTW, the IS350 is certainly a quick car, but I don't think it can beat a M3. Anything can happen on the street however and an automatic IS has less chance of error than a manual m3.
I've stayed even with an IS350 while driving a 350Z. However the Z is no match for the M3.

EBMCS03 and TBlax545i did two small attempts @60mph on the highway. I was watching from behind. The IS350 was able to grab the gear faster and pull away from the 545 Step. I'm sure that if they had more room, the 545 Step would have eventually caught up and walked the IS350.
I'm pretty sure that everyone who attending the Launch Meet will go to the San Diego Meet in September.

I agree. The IS350 is only quick off the line. I beat one from a roll, 70~140, with a chipped '05 Maxima.

Are you sure? It might be based off the same block but its not tuned the same... the RAV4 has the Camry engine... 269 hp and 246 TQ no? The IS 350 has a more advanced direct injection that inject the petro into the top of the cylindar heads for fuel economy... making 306 HP and 277 TQ.
Those times are frickin' awesome.. I read the whole thread, long or not and I was just blown away. Next time, you gotta do the head to heads.. very surprised by the IS350 but then again, it's a lighter car and a good size engine..

You haven't been around long enough to realize the times posted are not acceptable for those of us that own 550/545s. Especially when two 545 Step (Znod & Grogan545) have done sub 5s. We're expecting the times to be between 4.9 - 5.2.
Fair enough jiio.. I'm sure you guys will school me.. and I know you were messing with iceman.. I know the feeling of not getting the times you want and how frustrating that can be.
