We are looking to trade in our 2007 Lexus ES350. Galves value is 18k so I think we can squeeze out $19.5k from the dealer. The car I am looking at is a 2009 BMW 328i with 14k miles...at a BMW dealer...its NOT CPO but it has the factory warranty. Factory warranty until 12/2013 by 3 years if its reliable I will not extend the warranty if it has had some issues might get a extended warranty.

The BMW dealer is offering the 328i for $24.9k. A 2009 BMW 328i, 13k miles, $24.9k....pretty bare bones. Don't mind though. I am just concerned about the corporate lease part. Any worries about this or no? Do you guys think I can get the car for $23.5k?

I dont know about how much you can squeeze out of the dealer thats just between you and them and how well you talk to them, The corparate lease part is ehh, it all really depends some people dont car about the cars and trash it and some just drive it like a company car but you have warranty so who cares and if anything starts to go bad just bring it back and if it get to be too much claim it as a lemon.

Corp lease / factory cars are, in my opinion, like any other used car - examine them carefully for signs of excess wear or abuse. Ask for all the records of warranty and service. I don't know why BMWNA doesn't CPO factory cars but they don't. So, if you pick up one that was driven respectfully and not flogged it probably had service by the books and most likely any repair or warranty work handled fully. I'd do a price and feature comparison on the BMW CPO site and see if you are indeed getting a deal.

Last - but not least - if it was a fleet loaner car ... well, need I say more !! Too bad some of our own forum posters report how they drive loaners .. how fast can you run

Would never EVER buy a loaner. The BMW dealers here never give me loaners but from Lexus I get loaners. I got a 2010 RX350 with 4k miles this summer. I had owned this truck before so I knew how it drove. At 4k miles the driver seat was ripped (torn in 3 places) the rear passenger seats were ripped and had dark stains all over them. The truck drove rough and the transmission shifted roughly. Almost to the point when going from 1st gear into 2nd was unbearable due to the jolt that happened.

I admit I brought home 32 bags of mulch in that truck but I detailed the interior after doing that. I even washed it before returning it. I don't understand why some people treat loaners so roughly. And if this was Lexus I can't imagine BMW.
