No there are no open holes anywhere...i've taken the hose off a few times when i was checking the coolant system it was pretty much only two holes, one from the thermostat/engine side and one that goes into the radiator on the driver's side.

So I googled the part number in hopes of finding the correct one and found this ebay one. I wonder if I can take off the plastic piece and just use that with the existing rubber hose that I have...

Hmmm, i will take a closer look when I go by the car. Maybe I do have these hoses. The hose popped out by the metal rings so maybe i never paid attention to the part where the hose was actually attached to the plastic piece, which is the secondary hoses come from.

Quick update - the Ebay hose (original BMW part) worked perfectly. I didn't realize that all 4 ends were part of the upper hose as opposed to just two. So far so good, everything is working as it should.
