BTW I have a question on Steering Column Lubrication over in DIY if you guys can help with that : Steering Column Lubrication? - 5Series.net - Forums

Thanks again!
Mine makes a sound only when I shut the car off and the steering wheel goes up, I wonder if lubricating the steering column that far back stops that wierd noise!

Are these the same as the front tension strut arms? If so I am getting mine done for 686.00 plus tax and it includes a front alignment for my active steering model. Using genuine BMW parts too.

I just replaced mine last weekend. Job really isn't hard except the torx bit stripped on both control arm and tension strut. Luckily they loosened enough that I was able to squeeze a hacksaw blade in between the nut and knuckle to cut the bolts off. Passenger side went smooth and easily though. Good luck.

I had my control arm bushings replaced under warranty by an ASE authorized indy shop. Everyone was shocked to hear that the maxcare warranty would cover the bushings under warranty but they did. Never hurts to ask if your warranty will cover it. I know in most situations its considered a wear item but i did my research and asked. Saved over $600.

Interesting. They're fall under "wear and tear" just as brakes so i would have assume no company would ever warranty them.

Dealer just changed mine under the 4 year warranty as one was leaking so they did both. They pressed new bushings in rather than replace the whole arm.

I agree with you that fall under wear and tear however the ASE certified repair shop was just as surprised as i was to find out that maxcare was covering the bushings.

Default myle arm

I am also interested in replacing the lower arms with the myle HD,as well.
These aren't fluid filled so will give more ."road feel" and better response
They bushing is available on its own or the complete arm price about 175.00 each
I am planning on installing these with koni yellows with the stock sport springs .hoping for better response since installing non runflats
