For about the last 6 weeks I have been continually having problems with non stop error and malfunction messages popping up while driving. It started out with just increased emissions then dynamic drive failure chimed in. More recently it has been really bad with engine malfunction-reduced power and control systems failure with rough idle and my speedometer going out and all lights flashing on and off. I already had the battery replaced when the dealer thought that was the problem, worked for about a week then all the problems came back with a vengence. Not fun when you are out of warranty Now it is in the shop again and they are replacing the alternator. Thank god that BMWNA decided to pick up the cost on that one in good faith. I guess that is my silver lining. If this doesn't fix it I am going to drive my car into a brick wall at 150mph with me in it So if I dont post again that is what happened. Just had to vent a little, thanks for listening ----- Danny

Danny, sorry to hear about all the problems. The problems you are describing have been experienced by other members, perhaps some searching thru the forum would better help your SA and tech find the source of the problem....GL, hope everything gets resolved

Also had the exact problem. Did the battery, the software update. Replaced the alternator, everything is perfect after. (knock on wood)
