Condition Based Servicing? Hmmmm... Help Please!
Took my car in for an MOT test today (statutory roadworthyness test for our US cousins
) - rear brake pads were down to less than a mm despite iDrive saying 7000 miles until they needed servicing.
Hmmm. And given that I have maintenance this irks me even more, as I shouldn't be paying for it!
Anyway, I got the garage that did the test to change the pads (because I need the car and don't have time to mess about), but when I reset the service indicator it has now gone to -15,000m service overdue
Any ideas? They seem to have put a wear sensor on the invoice... How can I check if they actually changed it/it's ok?
