Nah! Don't even worry about it. Just find the ctrl-alt-del sequence and life is good.

Unfortunately, there isn't ctrl-alt-del for those of us without NAV/DVD, and it looks like Jerzguju doesn't have NAV/DVD.

software is software means that there is no such thing as a perfect complicated software. There's always bug and some are vital and costly. Down the road, BMW will make tons of money just by upgrading i-Drive software for those who have their warranty expired.

Don't sweat it -- as soon as you drive the thing, you'll say: "What software bugs?"

Without sat/nav and bluetooth rhere probably is no reason to reset the computer.
There are some minor other things like cracking doors on a very limited number of cars (mine included) but that will be solved soon i guess.
Don't worry, you still have a BMW on order, one of the greatest cars available!

Do you have a computer at home?

Does it run on the Bill Gates Virus, commonly known as Windows?

Would you say "I'll wait until Windows is 100% bug free before I get a computer".

There may be "issues" with the E60, but I think we'd all rather have the E60 with bugs, than something else without the toys.

the software glitches to me - is an acceptable fact that comes with new technology...

what matters to me - is the quality of service provided by bmw and the dealership. if your dealership has high quality service standards - overall, then, be assured that the software issues will be addressed and corrected in a very timely manner. 4 years or 50k miles warranty is enough assurance from bmw that any problems will be taken cared off - for free!

good luck,

gonzo
