My Ride: 535i 6-speed

Well....as of last night, my company has decided to stop paying mileage/allowance for personal car usage and provide me a company car... I commute 100 miles, Interstate round trip, to work 5 days a week. The new company car will be an Impala or something like that and they will pay everything...gas, maintenance, insurance, washes...everything.

I bought my '08 535i new in 12/07...so it is an LCI model... and it has ~30K miles. It is a 6-speed, black/black, premium, sport, nav, ipod/USB, perfect car. I am afraid that I am gonna be "forced" to sell it because I already have a "weekend" car in my '97 black/black 911, and there is really no way to justify keeping it. I can't tell you how bad this sucks...

Soooo...what do you guys think it is worth...and a little sympathy would be appreciated...

That's unfortunate. I am sorry to say that you might have a tough time selling the 535i due to it being a manual. That turns many potential buyers off. But, depending where you live a Manual might be better for resale. Where are you located?

I think you would still get a really good price for your car. I am not too experienced with used car values but I am sure many while chime in.

Sorry didn't read where you where from before I posted.

But at the same time there are other buyers that are ONLY looking for manual, like I was

Yea that's true too but the D drivers outweigh the Manual fanatics by a lot.

Like me too....also, it's good that I can take my time to sell the car..ie, find that buyer looking for a manual. And, the car can stay in the garage until it sells...I'll park the Impala outside...like it's gonna know the difference...

According to Kelley Blue Book, you should be able to sell it to a private party for $35,960. Although I feel for you having to get rid of it, I don't know how much sympathy I can give to someone who drives a 97, bl/bl Porsche 911, you lucky dog. This would be like someone who was dating Salma Hayek and Penelope Cruz at the same time and wants us to feel bad that he has to give one up but keep the other.

Seriously though. Bummer that you have to drive an Impala.
