Although it would probably look out of place on a 6er I wish Comfort Seats were an option. The sports seats are ok but for anyone of substance, such as I am, they are just too restricting. I get thigh problems, especially on left side. The Comfort Seats in my loaner 745 were amazing and I could really go for those.

Of course I could try dropping 40-50 pounds and then see if I fit properly

The sports seats on the 6er trump the 5er sports seats IMO

Took a sport 530 d out for a test ride when I was looking. The salesman drove the first 15 mins.

To be blunt, I was about to stop him as I had severe back pains and felt physically sick with the ride. He swapped over with me - and the drive was awful for the car. If I had not have tried another standard car I would not have gone near it.

I ordered comfort seats. Had also 18" Run Flat tyres. The car is soooo different from the sport.

Comfort seats are very adjustable - if you can not get the adjustment to your physiology you must be a really odd shape!!!

No problem for serious mileage days (400 +) Well worth it. This guff about customers not ordering comfort seats probably means he cant source a car for you from stock with them.

Funny the salesman I had said the same thing too.

Can't go wrong with the Comfort Seats!!!! Best seats that I've ever owned. Sports Seats are nice, but Love the Comfort Seats.

Based on the responses in this thread, I think BMW should seriously consider just doing away with the sport seats and offering either standard seating or comfort seats, but call them something else like adaptable seating like a previous poster mentioned.

Comfort Seats are a must. When your spending this much money for a car , to not spend the $1200 more for this kind of flexability and COMFORT is not a good decision. Your back will love you for it, and so will your PASSENGERS.
