I currently have a loaner with standard seats.
After driving it only ten minutes I have back problems... Damn, I love the comfort seats and miss my car...

Funny that you mention that Iceman.
I never had back issues ever until a month after I got my E60.
After 12 months of back therapy, muscle relaxers, etc. I started to wonder if it was the car. Several adjustments with seat positions. etc. my back is better - but still is not great - I guess I'm getting used to the spasm between the shoulders.

I did not get the lumbar with the sport seats as I thought that it would be part of the sport seats - lesson learned "never assume anything"!

I am 6' 0" tall. I'm wondering in anyone else is having back issues with the sport seats, especailly 6 footers.

I just did 1120 miles in 14 hours, and could have gone 14 more. The comfort seats should be sold to airlines. Flying would be so much more comfortable.

Comfort seats all the way. Had the sport seats in my 330, and although they were fine, the comfort seats are perfect.

I didn't get the lumbar either and I wish I did. It was standard after 2005
I am 6' 3" and can't say I have back problems related to the sport seat.

you're not missing anything with the lumbar adjustment.... unless you like so much lumbar that the only thing touching the seat is the middle of your back.... I was in my friends 2004 545i, and it has the same "default" lumbar as my 2005 545i...... the adjustable lumbar will just give you more....
