There are batteries in the comfort access key fob that obviously don't recharge in the ignition like the old or non-comfort access key fobs. Likely you need new batteries. Having only had my CA car for a month, don't know the size or what the process is after the battery in terms of making sure the car recognizes it again. Check the manual or I'm sure others will chime in to help...

I would think it's just the battery, unless you really beat on the fob it shouldn't die. It's a standard CR2032 "button" battery. You can pick one up at Radio Shack or whatever electronics store you have near you. To access the battery just depress the tabs on the fob to remove the internal key. Then take a coin and pop open the battery compartment on the back. Open the back slowly because the battery tends to pop out and make sure you put the new one in correctly. Once you replace the battery it will work, no need to do anything to get the car to recognize it again.

kscarrol is likely correct in this case. Since one key works, it's probable that the other key's battery is dead.
The simplest way to prove it is to swap batteries from the one that works with the one that doesn't work and if that fixes the problem, go out and buy one CR-2032 lithium battery and you're done.
To access the battery, slide out the metal key from the end of the fob and lift up the little cover by prying it up from the center of the fob at the rear...
