Hello everyone,

a couple of days, I left my car at the dealer for some noise that Ive been having since 2 years ago, a couple of days the S.A called me and he said the noise was coming from the transmision so he was going to replaced the tranny, today he called and told me that the tech told him that actually the noise was coming from the drive shaft or something like that ... he said that part is not covered under CPO and it was expensive, so I told him that my car was in for service, several times before for the same issue that they never fixed and they always told me couldn't duplicate the noise or the noise was normal.. so I ask him if it was posible to see if we could do something about it, he said tomorrow when he gets back to work( was sick todoay) he is going to ask the manager about that..

what you guys think, in case they refused to change the shaft should I complaint or something I have all my old paperwork..

you now what at that moment I couldn't think, but he said, the cluth drive shaft or something like that is not covered, so I ask him, if I could do it as an old claim, that was not repaired before my warranty expired. he said he was gonna check.. but let me see what is not covered

yes you are right, but this does not have anything to do whit low times, I have had this complaint since a year and a half, it is documented on past paperwork when I had taking the car in for this, and other issues, first I thought it was a noise from the steering column they always told me it was normal , but a couple of weeks back I noticed louder, I went to the dealer and they even told me, my car it was low on steering fluid ... the noise was normal, so this time they told me the transmission, now the noise is on the shaft.

I think you said it already ... ^^^,

Given the history, I think they should accommodate your needs
and fix the issue. Any good SA should be able to see that.

I had my steering column replaced (outside of my wtty. period)
due to the good relationship I have with my SA.

the S.A is a good guy, but just in case if they don't want to do it, then next step probably talk to the Service manager. jeje

Is it a rattling noise that goes away when you press the clutch, but the car drives fine?

Since you get the rattling with the car stationary that should rule out a drive shaft problem.
I think the culprit is the clutch release bearing,(the small part in the pic.) cluth replacement.. what to do?-w01331600908sac.jpg
unfortunately this means a complete clutch job, the parts won't break the bank but a tranny drop is required.
