What's up Yesterday I went to the mall, its one of those spiral parking garage so as I was driving up... there was alot car stopping and going.. I have an SMG... I had to struggled up the ram.. but I didn't ride the clutch, I had my foot on the brake and gas ect... then I got a sign "Clutch overheated" i put the car in neutral for a min then everything went back to normal... is something wrong with my car? or this is typical warning when the clutch over heats? btw, I didnt smell any clutch...

Locals: this happen in Queens Mall.

There is a clutch pedal with the SMG? Could you have manually selected a lower gear to avoid the transmission slipping?

Ya that sounds "normal" if you did in fact ride the clutch. It's there to prevent you from burning the clutch. I don't know how you drove but it sounded like you had no choice driving up an incline... To get the car moving from a stand still clutch slip is a must. As long as you minized roll back that's all u could have done.

It's normal in scenario like you went through. Nothing to worry about.
