I was asking because my sunroof is making some clanking. It drove me crazzy and it took a lot of time to spot the sound. However, it stops if i open the sunroof or if slightly move down the wind deflector when the sunroof is closed.
It may not be your case but at least you can give it a try.

it could be your door makin the noise or the windows,i also experienced noise on the driver's side door
