clunk noise

hi guys

just started to get a feeling in the steering wheel when i turn right. its like a cunking noise in the steering wheel. i tried to move the steering wheel in all directions as i thought this may be loose but no sounds, the only time this clunk feeling in the steering is apparent is when i turn right!! anyone suffering similar problems?

Are you sure it's not coming from the front axle? I suggest you check or get checked all the control arms.

Did you find what was causing the clunking noise?

I have the same problem on an '08 528i. It's not just on the right though, it's apparent when turning left or right or specially turning into a driveway or entering a parking lot, etc. I can feel it and hear it on the steering wheel. Any suggestions as to what's causing this is much appreciated.
