Clunk after start - 09 528i
Hello, I have an intermittent issue that I can't seem to figure out.
A few seconds after the engine cranks and turns over, I'll sometimes hear and feel a clunk/jerk from the car. It sounds like it's coming from under the car (around the transmission area). Sometimes it will do it harshly, subtlety, or sometimes not at all. So far I can't figure out in what scenarios/environments produce it less or more. It just seems to happen randomly. I'm not engaging the transmission or driving, just simply starting the car and then it happens.
There isn't any issues when the car drives/shifts and no MILs.
A few things I already tried:
Replaced transmission fluid, filter pan, and sleeve adapter. - no changes
Update the DME/EGS - reduced the amount of times it does this
I remember reading something about it possibly being an internal transmission test doing this. It's concerning because it sounds like metal clunking against metal, which I'm assuming can't be good long term.
Does anyone have this issue and/or know the solution? Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Completely on it's own. Basically it's: car starts > three seconds pass > jerk/clunk
This is before I move the gear selector out of park and before I even take off. When I do move the selector out of gear and begin to move, there isn't any clunks/jerks and the car shifts fine.
