In Europe the standard AC looked like this in a non-LCI (upper pic),
and looks like this (lower pic) in the LCI.

Here is a close up of the LCI controls. There are nice "short cut" buttons into iDrive climate settings. Similar but a little better than the '04-'07

On my 2007 you can press in the middle of the temperture dials for recirc with heat and max cool. What do the ones on the 2008 do? They look different.
