My Ride: 530d, comfort seats, cooling seats, heated seats, massagin seats, business nav, soon to have full /m sport kit
Hi Guys, I am a new BMW E60 owner !!!!!!!!! I have had mercedes for the last 5 years !! Just sold my SL55 AMG due to all the talk of petrol etc... Had all the e-class 320 cdi etc... so thought i would get a beemer after so long. Have had M3's, 330's, 540's, 7 series all kinds. But now I am back. Luckily the car I bought was already de-chromed and has sport seats. I have ordered my the sport kit and am looking for MV factory wheels and tyres if anyone has. Also will I have an issue with the tyre monitoring??? My question is can I swap out the basic turn style A/C system for a more advanced turn style system (like 7 series). Is it plug and go or is there modifcation needed??? Any help appreciated...

By the way you spelled "tyre", I'm assuming you're not in the USA. In order for members here to help you out, you really need to help them first by adding your location in your profile and adding some specifics about your car in your signature.It sounds like you have the "basic" A/C system and are interested in upgrading it to the "professional" (or "high") system. Do some searching on the forums to see what you can come up with and/or wait for some additional input from our awesome members...

My Ride: My ex-ride: EU '08 LCI 520dA. Space Grey, Sport Seats in Black Leather/Fabric Anthracite, Sport Steering Wheel, A/C with Extended Features, Hi-Fi Speakers, Cup Holders, Cruise with Braking function, Folding Rear Seats, Xenons, Park Distance Control.

As Rudy found out you cannot be from the States, since all car exported over there do have the extended A/C.
But I'm sorry to say, that the upgrade is impossible or at least close to.
I have had the "EU normal" A/C in my two last E60's and it works pretty OK.
Now I have the extended A/C and the difference is not that dramatic, less button use mainly,
and with the LCI model even too much options in the iDrive.

Had the standard aircon in my first car, now have the advanced. To be honest, there is a difference, but not a mindblowing one and given the choice again I would have spent my money on some other option rather than advanced air.
