Hi,

Anyone out there got experience of this option ? I'm considering including it on my option list. I've read a couple of posts on this site. How effective is it ? Did I read of some issues with add-on GPS navigation systems ?

Thanks for any advice

You guys have so many different options than us in the US. I think we should make up some just to get you jealous. Since I live in Chicago, i'm ordering the twin side mounted machine guns on my 550. Gangsta style.

We all know the rest of the world gets tons of options that we don't
(TV, folding mirrors, BMW Individual, etc.)

But the price of the car is the lowest in the US.

Its a tradeoff.

Yes I have it, it looks like a dark tint on the rear screen and rear door glass, I haven't noticed any appreciable difference in temperature inside the car after it has been standing in the sun etc. but it looks nice

Some IR reflective glass can reduce the GPS signal so add on units do not work as well.
The Tom Tom One has a new GPS chip whic is less affected by this problem.
Older units can have an additional GPS aerial added which sticks to the screen and removes the problem.
