Hi friends

I went to the dealer today for bluetooth language conversion from German to English.
I saw some M-ASK update procedures in process but some others also. About 5 fields with the "check" mark at left of each module's update description. It took 1 1/2 hours to finish and it was for free.
Just 1 hour took the bluetooth ULF reprogramming itself.
The BMW electrician told me that it was a complete CIP update which did only the necessary tasks. It's the same guy who retrofitted the comfort seats to my car.
Does anyone know which one modules are the updated by this CIP version ?
Our forum member cobradav is always informed with details about.
My previous version was 20.02

Thanks in advance
Nick

Hi, Nick

Almost identical situation here 20.02 to 21.03. However, I see a lot more module changes than you. That will be primarily due to my PRO-NAV versus your Business NAV I believe.

Thank you Cobradav,

I had M-ASK where you have CCC (during update)
except
HUD (I don't have)
ARS (I don't have)
CCC-A (I don't have also)
KBM - I can't remember
But I've seen all the others during the update process

Very well informed as always.

edit: LM = Lighting Modules

I really don`t underatand that CIPmania on this forum. My car was built 10/04 and I bought BM cradle afterwards for SE 630i and it works flawlessly, I`ve got RDS and no faults of warnings or any faults of any kind for that matter. Am I just lucky or is this CIP business on the brink of hysteria for some?

Hi Nick - Did you have the same problem I have? I-drive menus in English, bluetooth speaks German? I also have business nav and my car is early 2005 production. I also don't get the RDS names on the screen with the FM stations just LOCAL1, LOCAL2, etc. although I have the names on the bottom strip of the screen.

I'm not really bothered which software version I have but I would like these things to work properly.

Yes, they changed today the bluetooth voice control language from German to English. Now its OK.
English menus - English speaking.
I didn't noticed any difference at RDS stored stations, because i use the manual stations selection.
I'll look for it tommorow.

Hi cd:

What is 21.03, etc., supposed to cure? Anything I would be interested in? Especially, of course, the workings of DSC/DTC.

Thanks.
