I used to spend time at the old US Tracking site outside Pretoria in the mid '60s. Came down again and ripped out a computer for one of our radars on Ascension for a Titan launch seems like in '76 or so. Missed never going back. Our launch rate is less than a 1/10 of what it was back then.

Why do you need a reprog are you are having probs with your auto trans (slam type issues when pulling awy)? Will this not wipe your DMS tickle?
Not noticed any gear slam problems, i'm only having the CIP upgraded as it was a condition of my purchase that they installed the most recent version & that they enabled mp3 playback through the CCC.

So they are just rectifying/delivering what they should have done pre-collection if they'd had time. Also getting the Extended Voice retro-fitted which requires changes within the i-drive software.

As for the DMS tickle, i'll not know for until i collect the car tomorrow. Some say it won't, as the dealer won't touch the Engine ECU, some think it might so i'll only know once i drive it, however DMS will come & re-apply the new mapping if BMW have wiped it & DMS will not charge for this (great customer service) & they have my exact map now saved on their computer.

No, the car was builded without bluetooth preperation (no micropfones, no wiring, nothing)
If you have Nav, you don't need to buy the shark fin bluetooth aerial. It's inside there pre-installed.
Here is the link for the complete kit parts which i bought at ebay.

Received 20.02 today due to a PuMA case on my TCU (it was dead and BMW Assist was inaccessible). Funny thing is they did 20.01 the day before as part of the Oil Service Interval service action. Unfortunately I don't have the status report but I believe the entire vehicle was coded as that is what was written in the service order. Don't ask me why 20.02 was necessary in addition to replacing the TCU. They couldn't get it to work and basically BMW said "patch and reboot". Confidence inspiring, eh? Seems like I noticed some odd behavior when adjusting the fader on Logic 7 and RDS text doesn't display when viewing Presets (but does in the other modes), otherwise okay so far. I noticed my wife's 2006 530xiT tells you which seat belt needs to be fastened (driver or passenger) while my 2005 545i just tells me to fasten seatbelts. I have enough crap like this at work, makes me almost want a Citroen 2CV!

Whenever a component is replaced the instructions are to run the latest PROGMAN (CIP) update. There have often been cases where in the process of updating to a newer CIP a component failed. They then have to replace the component and then recode the car and always with the latest version. In reality, 20.02 should not have any modules different than in 20.01. 20.02 had a fix for E90s only, but itws what they are told to do - use the latest.

Yeah, I have a sneaky suspicion that my TCU failed back in October when I got 19.01. Just a gut feeling but now I verify BMW Assist after a software update just to be safe.
