My DVD drive has been playing up and the garage is going to replace the drive. Going from the diagrams below from realoem I presume to replace the dvd drive will mean having to replace the full CIC unit or can just the drive itself be replaced ?

whole drive, if you want to get this done via BMW. Otherwise if you can get another unit cheaper I'm sure you can swap just the drive.

Thanks, its getting done under warranty so looks like the full CIC unit will be replaced, there seems to only be one part number for the full CIC unit rather than a seperate one for the DVD drive.
