My E60 is Monaco (dark navy metallic) and I love my stock silver (painted) wheels. I'm tempted to get the same wheels in chrome (see below). I need some opinions as to what everyone thinks. Is it a good decision or does it lean toward the "ricer side" of modding. Thanks for your opinion.

IMHO, no chrome for an e60 unless it's the lip. Save the money and spend it on a different set of wheels, if possible.

I don't think it's ricer as it is just dated/ol 'school...I believe there was a pretty heated discussion/poll a few months back regarding chrome wheels...let's hope this one does not go down that road

As always, personal preference always wins, GL with your decision

Thanks. Kind of what I was thinking. Most of the chrome wheels I see are on Lexus, Infiniti, 350Z's etc. What are some of the most popular aftermarket wheels that look good on dark colored BMW's?

Try running thru the parts/mods/accessories thread as well as member galleries. You could also try just running a search under your e60 color + "wheels installed".

I am sure the vendors will PM you soon enough and help you out also...

Price range and size would be 2 things you want to figure out first, GL

Have you been talking to Dynaspy? Don't do it HotLap, don't chrome your rims. This is a very slippery slope that starts with rims. The rims are a gateway to other more serious chroming activities. Pretty soon chroming your shark fin antenna seems like a good idea. Finally your left alone, lonely, only you and your fully chromed e60.
Is that what you want, IS IT?!?!?!
As head of the Anti Chrome Coalition I have to advise you against this shiny and sometimes life altering decision.

OK, I'm convinced. No chrome. Add me to the ACC. Thanks for helping me not make a mistake!
