I know, not exactly the most exciting question, but has anyone fit three car seats into the back of their 5 series? The back seems designed for two car seats (based on placement of latches) but wondering if anyone has managed three. I have two kids in boosters and a new one in a Britax (which is a relatively wide car seat), but don't know what combination will fit. Any experience with this and any particular brands that worked? Thanks

It may work. I don't think the booster seat is as wide as a britex car seat. I've gotten 2 britex and 2 recaros in the rear on separate occasions with no room for a booster. given that the boosters aren't as wide and more open, you might be able to get a car seat against the 1 door, and 1 booster in the middle and the other by the door. good luck though cause I imagine 3 kids sitting that close to each other would warrant a lot of "don't touch me!" "you're in my space" lol

If you have two of the smaller backless boosters you should be able to get away with it. I've had 3 in my car for a trip to the Childrens museum and it was tight.

I managed to get two stage 1 car seats either side in the rear, with a stage 2 carseat in the middle.

Those are the two infant seats and a toddler seat. Was pretty chuffed, as i came from a honda accord tourer (sole reason for buying it was for room) which wouldnt fit the seats, so had to have the wife in the rear in the middle of the twins and the toddler in the front with seat all the way pushed back.

Now ive got justification for upgrading to the 530d :-)
