Calling all forum members.
Please tell me if I am worrying about nothing, or if this really does look wrong.
In the pic below I have marked the gap at the front (A) and rear ( sides of the rear wheel. You will see how much they differ. It has been bugging me for a while now - just does not look right.
Is yours the same?
(Excuse the picture quality, but because of the dark car I had to play with the contrast and brightness so you could see the gap)

just looked at mine and there is a slight difference but it doesn't seem as pronounced as yours. checked the gallery too. there does appear to be a slight difference. looks like it was designed that way. personally, it doesn't bother me.

IT IS PERFECTLY NORMAL !!!
it is geometry and physics here REAR GAP B: the gap is here on purpose. it is there so you can load your trunk with WEIGHT. If you load your trunk or have full car of passengers the car will obvisuly go down and that is where GAP B will get smaller as the car body will go down towards the wheels and ground.
If you load your trunk it is not like that the whole car moves towards the ground evenly in the overall car lenght.... it will be mostly the back/trunk that will lower.... that is why this B gap is there
..... have somody sit to your trunk and watch the gap and you will see !!!

Thank goodness this means I don't have to check mine - it's really cold outside (and dark)
I looked at mine as well... It looks the same. There also seems to be like that on my M as well.

people would you just believe the fact that it is normal and done on purpose on all the cars so there is a space for the car to lower when your shocks absorb the potential trunk weight load !!! the weight has to distrubute somewhere so the cars balance and driving abilities remain safe...... it is not lilke the gap is rock solid no matter what weight and how many people in the car....
