Check your battery compartment for water!

I guess I need to look below my battery as well. I never would have thought there would be water leaks there.

I had this problem too. It effects all pre-LCI E60 models. I had my dealer seal the air vent that leads to the battery compartment with a foam that solidifies. They did it free under CPO. KNOWN ISSUE.

Thanks, Any further information on the air vent that was sealed. Is this the large rectangular rubber flappers on the side directly above the battery?

is it just my car but i took out the spare tire and i have nothing under there but empty spACE
