I have an Individial 18' wheels with Goodyear Run Flat tyres. The tyre size is 245/40R18 for both front and rear. Can I put a wider tyre to the same rims i.e. 255 with?
Again thanks for sharing your views and experiences.

A 245/40x18 tyre has 205.20 in radius. If you want to go wider, choose 275/30x18 which gives 204.10.

My Ride: 535d Sport, carbon black, media pack, visibility pack, grey leather, heated seats, sun protection glass, voice control, Eibach ProKit, 19" 166 style wheels, e-maps ECU remap to 325hp and 640NM, top speed limiter removed
No, that's only a theoretical conversion.
If you run 245/40/18 all round, your rims will be 8x18. No chance you will get a 275 on an 8inch rim and inflate it and have any form of proper control over your car afterwards. It's gonna look like a hot air balloon if you ever get in on and working to start with.
