Hello, I have an 08 550I (Automatic) and the gear selector would not go back to the right from Manual mode when you pushed "P" to park. The dealer says I need another module at a total price of $1800 installed. I found a couple of used ones on ebay, but just wondering if anyone had changed this part themselves and if there is any programming or any other reason that I would have to have the dealer fix it. Thanks.
