I have run Flats and I was stupid enough to spend close to $1000. These tires are noise wear fast and puncture just as easily. The only difference with Run Flats you can drive on the tire until you have to replace it a few miles later with something $, instead of just pumping it up and making it to the closest tire place to fix it for $20. Also, how often have you heard of tires blowing out?

to carry on from this i went out in my mates 525 with runflats today...and i thought he had square wheels...the ride is hard and harsh, and very noisy, when i got back in my car it was all smooth and quiet again

Yes but this depends on where you live. In the city it isn't a big problem but i've heard people say good things about RFTs especially when their tire got punctured and they were already running late so they didn't have to stop to change the tire or whatever. In the end it depends on where you live and your daily commute.

i hear what your saying...but is it a good enough argument to say that in the 00.01% chance you "might" get a puncture, you would sacrifice comfort/ride quality...ALL the time?
