My first problem with my e60. Turned on the ignition and the Check Engine Light (CEL) came on, checked iDrive and it said "Increased Emission". I really had no clue what that mean I ignored the message and drove it as usual. It was a short commute(about 10 -15mi) and I had both my front window down. Stopped the car and tried to roll up the windows, but the window on the passenger side only rolled up half way and than automactically roll down by itself. I have tried both "one touch" and also manually hold it down, but it still won't roll up..... Anyone experience this before? Not sure it has annything to do with the CEL but it happended on the same time. Anyway, I'll take it to the dealer tomorrow, just want to share my experience......thanks for reading

I think the power window needs initialisation. I had the same problem once (after battery went dead). I don't know whether the simple initialisation will work, pull and hold button till it moves to the top and keep it up for 15sec, then push the button down and hold it 15sec when it is at the bottom. See whether that works. Maybe the anti-trap sensor is faulty. Anyway, send it back to the dealer for a diagnose.

I had the increased emission messsage and it was an oxegen sensor behind the muffler that needed replacement. Once replaced the message was gone and has not returned.

Update .....got my car back from dealer. CEL was caused by "fuel tank leakage diagnosis module" and the entire unit was replaced under warranty. As for the windows, as cocyoo pointed out, initialisation corrected thenproblem.
