iTunes does not support CD Text. Try Nero Rom from www.ahead.de
Wrong
If you are creating an mp3 CD you are correct becuase it is basically a data CD. However, if you are burning an audio cd it currently does not support CD text. The topic did not specify .mp3.

For any Mac users out there, Roxio Toast takes care of adding CD-Text. Also, If you play the disc through the NAV's DVD player (select DVD as the source) then CD-Text IS supported. Hopefully a future iTunes update will take care of the CD-Text issue as it's a major oversight in the curent releases.

Ok I still cant get it to work... What Hardware and what software version is needed on the car to support CD-Text?

I'm running v16.2 and have Business Radio Not Professional Radio that comes with Navigation.

Is Prof Radio needed for CD-Text??

Edit: well I tried two store bought CDs that contains CD Text and nothing comes up so apparently No CD Text for me either...

Ok. Not sure I'm getting this. Are you saying that if I burn a DVD audio disc using Toast and then put it in the DVD slot I will get approx 4.7Gb of music? Found the CD text tick box in toast and Ic Holmfirth is right, you have to select DOA option.

Unfortunately no. I'n talking about burning a copy of your audio CDs using Toast (to add the CD-Text) but noting thatt CD Text is also supported by the DVD drive (some posts had suggested only the in-dash CD drive supported CD Text). I have not been able to find a way to burn a DVD-R sized CD using Toast or any other app to create a supersized CD. Toast will burn a DTS DVD-Audio, but it's not supported by our E60's.

I would not think that you would need Pro radio but I guess it may be possible. I just updated my cars software to 22 or 24 and before I had version 12 and it supported CD text.

Sorry Kris.
You're right.

I thought it does, but it doesn't.

I thought I have burned a CD with text using iTunes, but it wasn't iTunes.
Anyways, you're right...
