Hello All,

I have a 2006 525i. My son put a quarter in the CD slot!!!. It worked intermitantly for a few days until I heard a loud POP! Now the entire radio/CD system is inoperative with only faint static and the radio tuner is stuck on 93.7. I've checked CD/radio/amplifier fuses and they are not blown.

The CD won't eject and cannot read media. I'm not sure if this dumb#$%^ act is covered by warranty. My dealership has said a new CD player alone is $1400. Does anyone know an alternative to a dealership who makes a CD/radio compatible with I-drive?
