CD Player Posessed

I've recently purchased an 06 550i with the Sports package, pretty loaded option-wise, but this stupid iDrive just makes things more complicated than they have to be (I don't like the iDrive)....
Why is it when I insert a CD it will play fine until about track 12 then it quits?
If I try to manually change the track past 12 I still get nothing.
If I eject the CD and start it again, I still can't get past track 12.
Today while driving all of a sudden the speakers on the dash came alive - What the hell is going on with my car?

Certainly not normal function. There is no reason for the CD to stop at song #12. Bring it to the dealer. But do realize this has nothing to do with the iDrive as a system, there is clearly some malfunction...
