Cd Changer

my cd changer has stopped working. i have checked the fuse and that is fine the cd changer has power but the i drive cannot see it. does anyone have any ideas?

First try resetting it by pressing in the volume button simultaneously with the CD eject button and Nav/DVD eject button. This should resolve the issue.

i have tried this but the cd changer still does not work. i took the car to BMW who said that it will need a new cd changer.

First thing you should always try is removing the cassette. You will find if u have a lot of crap in there it will bump the eject button causing the cassette to eject very slightly. Remove all crap remove cassette and re install. this may sort it and its a common fault of the e60.
