My 04 545i CD changer shuffles CDs in the magazine when I open the front doors. Is this by design or something is wrong ?

I think it's by design. When you open a door (after the car has been sitting for more than 16 minutes or so) the car "wakes up" from a sleep mode where all electrical devices have been powered down.
The CD changer is quickly learning how many discs it has so the system is ready when you go to select a disc (if you have four discs loaded instead of six, discs five and six will be greyed-out, etc.)
