I swapped out my CD changer for the iPod retro-fit. It works well. Question - can I install the CD changer in the trunk? The bracket is there as is the correct fiber optic/electrical connection. I assume it won't work becuase the computer will only recognize/allow one of the two to be operative, but I want to check.

 

I think that fiber optic connector in the trunk is for DVD player in countries outside US. Connect to your CD changer their won't work either because BMW currently does not have SW program to recognize both CD changer and iPod adapter at the same time.
