CD cartridge jammed

Dear Forum,
My CD cartridge in the glove box is jammed. I can't eject the cartridge (nothing happens when I press the eject button) and cannot play the CDs already in there. However I can play the single CD in the slot on the dashboard.
Anyone knows what is happening and how to eject the cartridge. This will save me having to make a trip to the dealer.

I did read somewhere that pressing the mute/volume at the same time as eject on the dash CD (and NavDVD if fitted) was some sort of CTRL-ALT-Delete.
Might be a crock, but nothing lost....
