We will only find out what, if any, E60 software CIP 20 contains when it is released at the end of November or in December

[quote name='pagan' date='Nov 3 2005, 04:28 PM']Well, as you can see on this document http://www.x5world.com/pdf/v26.pdf on the X5 forum, the navigation software v26 also applies to the 7-series with the I-drive E65/E66, so it must somehow have something to do with this rumour.

Well, that's precisely my point, the E60 isn't on that list

Trust me, it's a different system entirely.

Well... I think it uses the same... but I'm not 100% sure.

As far as I know... ever since 2001 to like recently (V.20) people were able to make ISO copies of the NAV DVD (I myself have a few versions) and you follow directions, burn your own copy and you can upgrade it at your own leasure at home... The CD will recgonize what system you have and will update accordingly... But not sure how the E60 is... I knew the old E39 E65 and X5s all worked before.

I guess we'll find out when it gets released...

see here... it even worked for the MINI.

I recently loaded Navigation firmware V 26 on our Mini Cooper S Works and it is an amazing update; the redesigned map is a joy to look at and IMHO much better than the E60/E61's.

I also noticed that the 7-series has about the map design as V26 and I am really looking forward to see this update for my E61.

Well, you can try it yourself right now, if you'd like.

The link you posted has a link to Nav V26:

Care to let us know if it works?
