Hi,
I heard from my dealer that CCC versIOn 20 is coming out the end of the month and GPS version 26 is out.
Can somebody tells me what the changes are for both of the releases ?

I am pretty certain none of that info on the X5 site relates to the E60. They are completely separate navigation systems.
Two separate DVD's are produced for each system and they are incompatible.
So the whole "version" thing does not apply.

Well, as you can see on this document http://www.x5world.com/pdf/v26.pdf on the X5 forum, the navigation software v26 also applies to the 7-series with the I-drive E65/E66, so it must somehow have something to do with this rumour.

Trust me, it's a different system entirely.

None of the "modern" iDrive systems are on that list - E60/E61/E63/E64/E90. Just like discussions on ICELink, Ipods, etc, you have to be careful to not generalize and be too inclusive of BMW happpenings.

Interesting...while E60 is clearly not on this list, it's curious that an iDrive vehicle (E65/E66) is. That makes me wonder if the nav software is included in CIP updates on E60, or if it's still a separate item. The document makes reference to being prompted to update the nav software during a CIP upgrade on E65. I'm going to guess, though, that given that nav functionality has been added with CIP upgrades for E60 customers, that the nav software on E6x and newer vehicles (excluding E65/E66) is included within CIP upgrades.
