I've been using the Carly app since 2017 with great success to program batteries, identify bad coils and recently a bad cam positions sensor on a 1996 Z3. I used the Carly on me 2008 BMW the other day to check for codes no problem. The yesterday my TPS sensor receiver went bad and purchased a new one, but when I went to clear the code, I get a "Smart Server Connection Fail" tried again several times and no luck. Contacted Carly and they said we'll just send you a new one if purchase direct or from Amazon. I bought new off eBay and now Carly has gone silent on me. I think they have changed settings on their server making me having to buy new and sign up for.

 

My 2015 Carly does not work well anymore under the current app. It has very reduced functionality compared to new or even a year ago. They want you to be on a subscription based service and I prefer not to. Will shop for a replacement.
