My Ride: 2006 530i
-Check battery output while trying to start; still mostly likely the starter. Search for my threads, I have a 06 530i and the starter went out around 101k. Part is around 150-200, but the labor is 6+ hours because you have to get the intake manifold off.

car is at 135k miles and the interior light,idrive with music turns on but the car doesnt turn over.. i checked all fuse from trunk to glove and jumped started =[ 7 hours at walmart waiting for a god damn fucken tow truck

Same thing happened to my car. I have 1 month left on the warranty. Starter was replaced. Seems the armature brushes are worn already. That's not a good sign for longterm reliability.
