Hand wash only. I've never been to a car wash ever in over 38 years (ya, I'm that old) other than at free dealer wash.
Cars get pretty dirty in the winter when its too cold to even give a quick spray. A good light snow takes off a lot of salt when it warms up.

This is the main reason I'm considering not taking my car to the Car wash anymore, now that my OEM wheels are off and my 20" miro 111's are on. The front tires are 245/30/20 so the rims bulge a little outside the tire, so I feel like if I take it to the car wash place its a disaster waiting to happen. Oh well guess I'm gonna have to stop at autozone and pick up some rags and sponges and get my work out on!

When I have time and the weather is good - both at the same time never happens - I like to handwash precious.

However, there is a Sunoco station in Brampton (near where I work) that seems to do a good job and NOT screw up my wheels. In fact, it seems to do a very good job at jetting off brake dust.

Cheers
