Hey guys,

My starter went bad on me a day ago and to get it towed I had to take the shift boot off and pull down the "neutral override" lever to get the car in neutral so it can be towed.

Well when I get it home, I wanted to put it in park while I waited on the new starter to arrive. However, the shifter now won't go into "P" after releasing the "neutral override".

Maybe its because the car can't start since the starter hasnt been replaced yet.

Any ideas on how to set it to park anyone?

 

Nevermind... lol. After replacing the starter, it cranked while in neutral and went into "P".
