Car shows yellow ! then shuts off??

Last night we had to go to a dinner party, before leaving when the car started showed made a (Bleep noise, and showed a yellow !), it started fine though so no worries. Last night around 1 when we leave the car starts shows the same yellow ! and shuts off. Started again and it works fine.
I just had the battery replaced last week because car shut off while driving
. What does this yellow ! mean it goes away as soon as it comes up.
Not an old car 2008 BMW 528i, bought CPO. Any ideas?

Radio is never on, use CD's and yesterday all the CD's were in the ML. No radio was on, and the yellow light comes on when we start the car not when we turn it off.

In iDrive menu check control alerts to see if it has recorded the issue. If you don't have an owner's manual there is one in the information section of this forum. Download it to your PC and you can search it for answers to many issues you may face with a BMW. This pic is a start to help you
