Last night we had to go to a dinner party, before leaving when the car started showed made a (Bleep noise, and showed a yellow !), it started fine though so no worries. Last night around 1 when we leave the car starts shows the same yellow ! and shuts off. Started again and it works fine.

I just had the battery replaced last week because car shut off while driving :(. What does this yellow ! mean it goes away as soon as it comes up.

Not an old car 2008 BMW 528i, bought CPO. Any ideas? :huh:

If you leave your radio on a yellow exclamation will show on the instrument display when you turn the car off. To verify that is the only alert, observe your iDrive display and note at the lower left corner to see if you see "radio on". BTW, no need to turn it off since when you lock the car it shuts down.

Radio is never on, use CD's and yesterday all the CD's were in the ML. No radio was on, and the yellow light comes on when we start the car not when we turn it off.

A picture of your instrument cluster with the light on would help.

Going to lunch at 11 if it does it again I will take a picture.

In iDrive menu check control alerts to see if it has recorded the issue. If you don't have an owner's manual there is one in the information section of this forum. Download it to your PC and you can search it for answers to many issues you may face with a BMW. This pic is a start to help you
